2 Roles & Responsibilities

  • Experience in detail engineering of AIS and GIS substations / switchyards for 66 kV, 132 kV, and 220 kV systems. Exposure to 400 kV and above will be an added advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of applicable standards and guidelines including CEA, CBIP, IS, IEC, NEC, and NFPA.
  • Familiarity with CTU (PGCIL) and STU requirements such as GETCO, MSETCL, RJVNPL, KPTCL, UPPTCL, etc.
  • Preparation and review of Key Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Metering & Protection SLDs, substation layouts, plans and elevations, erection key diagrams, and clearance diagrams.
  • Design of earthing systems in accordance with IEEE 80. Experience with ETAP, CDEGS, or equivalent software is preferred.
  • Experience in Direct Stroke Lightning Protection (DSLP) and lightning risk assessment as per IEEE 998, IEC 62305, and Dr. Rezvig Method.
  • Sizing and design of auxiliary transformers, DG sets, batteries, battery chargers, and UPS systems.
  • Knowledge of protection coordination studies for substations and switchyards.
  • Preparation of cable schedules, cable sizing calculations, and interconnection schedules.
  • Experience in technical procurement support, including preparation of technical specifications, offer evaluation, technical bid analysis, and vendor document review.
  • Experience in Owner’s Engineering for substation projects will be an added advantage.
  • Exposure to Solar PV plants, wind farms, BESS, or green hydrogen facility design will be considered an added advantage.
  • Preparation of auxiliary power system SLDs and substation load lists.
  • Experience in main control room building design, including equipment layouts, cable trench layouts, earthing layouts, and lightning protection systems.
