2 Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar PV Engineer (Electrical) with 3 to 7 years of experience in the design and engineering of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in energy yield analysis, system design (DC and AC) and have hands-on experience with solar design tools such as PVSyst, Helioscope, and other PV simulation and layout tools. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in ground-mounted or rooftop solar PV projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Solar PV Energy Yield Analysis using software tools like PV Syst, Helioscope, etc.
  • Prepare DC system single line diagrams (SLD) including string sizing, module configuration, and cable routing.
  • Perform DC and AC cable sizing and layout design.
  • Develop detailed AC SLDs and overall plant electrical layouts.
  • Design PV plant layouts including String combiner box grouping, Earthing layout, Lightning protection layout.
  • Conduct shadow analysis and optimize system layout accordingly.
  • Evaluate technical offers and specifications for PV modules, inverters, string combiner boxes (SCBs), SCADA systems, etc.
  • Perform vendor document reviews and ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for project design, execution, and quality assurance.
  • Support the development of rated power, PV Case, PV farm, or similar software-based analysis (preferred)

3 Competency 

  • Proficiency in PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, MS Office and solar-specific design tools.
  • Knowledge of PV Case, PV farm or rated power software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with national and international standards for solar PV design and implementation.
  • Experience in both ground-mounted and/or rooftop solar PV projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
