2 Roles & Responsibilities

As an Senior Civil Structure Engineer , you will support the civil-structural engineering team in designing, analyzing, and detailing structural elements for renewable energy projects, especially solar PV and Substation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead detailed structural design of solar tracker foundations, Switchyard Structures and foundations, and control buildings, Solar module mounting structures, etc.
  • Design of foundations (Isolated Footing/Combined Footing/Piling/Ramming/Mat).
  • Design of Road & Drains.
  • Review and validate engineering deliverables for Owner’s Engineer scope.
  • Mentor and supervise Associate and Junior Engineers.
  • Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and design basis reports.
  • Perform value engineering and optimization of structural systems.
  • Preparation of design report for submission to client.
  • Preparation of BOQ’S, Technical Specification, Cost Estimates & Tender documents.
  • Review and finalization of Civil & Steel Structural drawings.
  • Assist in bid finalization, getting approval on design and drawings from client.
  • Attend design review meeting with client/consultant.
  • Interface with clients, EPCs, and internal teams to ensure project delivery timelines and resolving design issues.
  • Perform review of geotechnical investigation and hydrology report.
  • Must be well versed with AutoCAD and staad pro.
  • To carry out site visits in India and Abroad.
  • Follow the integrated management system (IMS) requirement set by the company.

3 Competency

  • Advanced knowledge of structural analysis tools (STAAD Pro), foundation design in RCDC, Connection design.
  • Strong understanding of soil mechanics, and geotechnical engineering.
  • Exposure to international standards (ASCE, Eurocode) preferred.
  • Client-facing experience and project leadership capabilities.
  • Proven experience in civil and Structural design for large-scale projects, preferably in the solar PV industry
  • Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and professional communication, both written and verbal.
  • Project Coordination: Participate in project meetings, provide technical input, and ensure effective communication between all stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with renewable energy projects.
  • Familiarity with environmental impact assessments.
