Business Development Executive

2 Roles & Responsibilities

The Business Development Executive (BDE) will play a critical role in expanding QQEC’s presence in the renewable energy sector by identifying business opportunities, developing client relationships and converting leads into consulting and engineering projects.

The role requires strong networking ability, market intelligence and coordination with technical teams to prepare proposals for engineering consulting services.

The candidate will work closely with leadership, engineering teams and marketing to generate revenue and expand the company’s client portfolio across India and international markets.

2.1 Lead Generation & Market Development

  • Identify and generate new leads in renewable energy sectors including solar, wind, energy storage, green hydrogen, substations, Power system study, Grid Integration study, grid compliance study and
  • Research potential clients such as EPC contractors, developers, investors, utilities, and IPPs.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.

2.2 Client Engagement

  • Initiate contact with prospective clients via calls, emails, LinkedIn and industry events.
  • Understand client requirements and propose suitable engineering consulting services.
  • Develop strong relationships with decision-makers in renewable energy companies.

2.3 Proposals & Sales Support 

  • Coordinate with technical teams to prepare proposals for services.
  • Prepare presentations, commercial proposals and client documentation

2.4 Market Intelligence 

  • Monitor industry developments in the renewable energy sector.
  • Track government policies, tenders and upcoming renewable projects.
  • Identify partnership or collaboration opportunities.

2.5 Revenue &Target Management

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly business development targets.
  • Maintain records of leads, client interactions and project opportunities.
  • Support negotiations and contract finalization.

2.6 Client Relationship Management & Project Coordination 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during ongoing projects.
  • Manage client communication to ensure smooth coordination between clients and internal engineering teams.
  • Handle client escalations, concerns and service-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collect and document client feedback on ongoing and completed projects to improve service quality.
  • Ensure client expectations are aligned with project deliverables and timelines.
  • Support the team in maintaining high client satisfaction and long-term relationships.

3 Competency

3.1 Required Qualification 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Energy Management or related field.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in business development, sales or consulting services.
  • Experience in renewable energy, power sector, EPC or engineering consultancy is preferred.

3.2 Required Skills 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building ability
  • Understanding of renewable energy market
  • Proposal writing and commercial understanding
  • Lead generation and sales pipeline management
  • Proficiency in MS Office, LinkedIn outreach

3.3 Preferred Skills
