QQ Engineering & Consulting (QQEC) has been entrusted with the Owner’s Engineering scope for a 528 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project developed by Sprng Energy in Rajasthan, India.

In an energy landscape that is changing quickly, this massive project is a major step toward improving grid flexibility, stability, and reliability. Integrating renewable energy sources like solar and wind into the grid poses new hurdles as India speeds up its transition to renewable energy. By facilitating real-time energy balancing, peak load control, and enhanced dispatchability of renewable electricity, battery energy storage systems are essential in tackling these issues.

Scope of Work

Under this engagement, QQ Engineering & Consulting will deliver comprehensive, end-to-end engineering services across multiple phases of the project lifecycle, including:

  • Development of Basic Engineering documentation.
  • Engineering post finalization of BESS vendor.
  • Technical assistance during Bid Evaluation.
  • Review Engineering of Contractor and OEM Documents.
  • Issuance of Material Dispatch Clearance Certificate (MDCC).
  • Preparation and verification of As-Built documentation.
  • Power System Studies of BESS Plant
